Top 5 Events of 2023
As 2023 ends, it is the perfect time to look back and remember all the fabulous and fun events at Osprey Village. Our team always strives to push the boundaries to create unique experiences for our Members. This mentality ensures that each event is better than the last. Our dedicated Social and Wellness Directors create a detailed, packed calendar to provide our Members with too much to do! From sensational Signature Experiences to hoppin’ happy hours to exciting excursions and so much more, this year was one for the record books, making it difficult to narrow down our top events.
Get ready to count down our top five events for this year:
5. Museum and Garden Visit
At number five, we had our trip to The Cummer Museum of Art and Garden! Our Members love visiting here because it has some of the most interesting exhibits. On this visit, our Members got to see the Flamboyance exhibit of topiary flamingos! The flamingos were beautiful and left our Members mesmerized. After exploring the gardens, our Members head to the museum to check it out!
4. Men’s Fishing Trip
Our community loves going on outings, and one of our favorite outings this year was our Men’s fishing trip. On this trip, our Members caught tons of different fish, but the best catches of the day were whiting and shark! A few of our Members even brought their catches home for dinner.
3. King’s Coronation Party
Talk about a royal event! Our Members had a blast at our classic British Street Party to celebrate the King’s Coronation. It was a day full of delicious British treats made by our Members, beautiful handmade crowns, and even a surprise appearance of the Queen Consort Camilla herself and one of the Buckingham Palace guards.
2. Swiss Alps Signature Experience
Coming in at number two is our Swiss Alps Signature Experience. This event was as fabulous as the first snow of the season! Our Members started with cross-country skiing Florida style, i.e., grabbing walking poles and trekking across The Plantation. Then our Members enjoyed a cooking demonstration and all different types of fondue.
1. Key West Signature Experience
And finishing the list at number one is our fabulous Key West Signature Experience. Even though our Members live in Florida, there is something special about the Florida Keys! During the event, our Members enjoyed getting crafty, wearing their best Parrothead outfits, listening to Jimmy Buffet while sipping on endless margaritas, and even going on a Cruisin Tikis Amelia Island Sunset Cruise.
And just like that, this year is ending, and we are ready to start another fantastic year full of fabulous events. We can’t wait to see what this year holds and how it will surpass this year’s events!
